In rowboat froyo an wired ethernet component was copied from (guessing) android-x86 and this is conflicting with the wifi part. This is also mentioned on the android-x86 mailinglist as being an issue.So not a kernel/ wifi driver issue but entirely a android stack issue. * If you're using wifi, the first time it seems that it cannot connect to a wifi ap but if you boot the second time it is ok.
